Hi, Roberto here. I hope you are feeling well (as well as can be expected after chemo). I am a little bit of an expert unfortunately, so my advice is REST but keep active, drink a lot of fluids, eat only what you feel like eating, and just think any discomfort you feel is linked to the drugs killing the bad cells (that is good!). In your case, the chemo is just for a little while, so worth the uncomfortable days! Do not be surprised if your stomach doesn't behave. They can give you some extra medication for that if it gets bad; changes of taste (maybe a metallic taste if they are giving you cisplatin), maybe some rashes, if they get bad, there are good creams, funny temperature (or the feeling of temperature) in your cheeks or anywhere else. Perhaps very complex dreams, I just try to enjoy them. Just love and hug yourself as much as you can, and let others do it as much as they want. Do get as many hugs as possible! If your hair goes: bye bye. it's just a new look! (not as easy as I am trying to make it sound, but we are old enough to take these things with a little humor). More to come, or better I will call you over the week end. For now my hugs and my best thoughts for you.
Hiya , Roberto - good advice . thanks xx
Since embracing this chemo process wholeheartedly ( you no my stance re 'harmful 'chemicals lol ) and confronting my demons , I feel strangely empowered and liberated. Odd. No serious side effects . Feeling flushed , energised , hyper .. mind racing .... need to self -express and share .. blurt things out regardless of consequences ..... Om my
Looking forward to the crazy dreams and many hugs .
Thank you for being here with me xxx
